Pickpad Patent Granted: US 12,725,121

Updated: 23 hours ago

On September 1, 2026, Pickpad was granted its first patent. And it’s not for a device. It’s for an entirely new product category.

Pickpad Patent Granted: US 12,725,121

For years, hospitality had two options for order pickup: a shelf with zero intelligence, or a locker designed for retail. Nothing in between, so we built it.

Pickpad is a modular system of sensor-enabled pads that turns any existing surface into a smart pickup area in under an hour. It runs every order on autopilot, verifies accuracy and captures data nobody was capturing before. Faster operations, better delivery performance, a seamless and personalized pickup experience.

What the patent covers:

* Modular system that scales into any layout

* Multi-unit intelligence (several pads can act as one surface)

* Live sensor data capturing and verification

* Built-in UI, no app/screen required

We are patenting the layer of intelligence that makes any pickup area smart with no changes in processes, and store design. Seamlessly integrated with current tech stack, requiring zero capital investments. Countertop, cabinet, shelves, table - any surface, same intelligence underneath.

This is patent 1 of the portfolio. Continuation and other patents pending.

We're building the category: pickpad = smart pickup pad.

Want to be among the first operators piloting it in your stores? Just let us know.
